A bold burglar, burg-lar, caught in tho act of robbing tho resldenco of Ira Canuon, 163 West Second Bouth street, when Mr. nnd Mrs. Cannon returned homo from church shortly after 9 o'clock last night, waited not to secure additional addition-al plunder, but lovoled his automatic pistol at Mr. and Mrs. Cannon and orderod them to stand to ono sldo while ho made a dlgnlflod but .exceedingly .exceed-ingly awlft "getaway." Mr, Cannon's description to tho po-llco po-llco put them on tho lookout for a short, thin, dark man. After tho startling doparturo ot tho short; thin man, carrying with him his pistol, mask goggles and articles ot Jewelry had faded frorm tho Cannon promises, promis-es, via tho back door through which tho Cannons had entored, It was discovered dis-covered that the Intruder had Intruded Intrud-ed by way ot tho bedroom window, the screen of which had been cut and the hook taken from its staple. Foot prints ot tho burglar wore plain to bo seen on tho countorpano ot tho bed. The telephone wires had been disconnected and tho burglar had evidently evi-dently Just sot out to investigate tho house when disturbed. Somo rings and a gold Btlckpln had been taken from tho dresser. m |
