Show Hallowe'en Party And Basket Ball Lewlston, Utah, No. 1. A delightful Hallowe'en party was glveu on Monday Mon-day evening In the sewing room by the high school students and upper grades of the Lowlston high school. Tho decorations were splendidly In keeping with the spirit of the occasion. occas-ion. An uncanny atmosphere pervaded pervad-ed the halls and rooms, and one was seized with a severe attack ot the shivers on entering the building. Weird spectres and stalking ghosts lurked in every dark nook und corn er. Refreshments woro served nnd a fine pogram '.yiih carried out. The teachers were tho special guests. The opcnlg game of the basket ball season was played in the Lowlston hall lust Friday evening. Tho contesting contest-ing teams were those representing the Lowlston and Richmond high schools It proved a most Interesting game, being n closo and hard fight from start to finish. At no point lu tho game was either sldo sure of victory, until the whistle blew 'time" nnd tho home tenm were announced tho victors. The score was 2S-24. Many of Lewlston's younger sot wore present and enjoyod an evening of rare entertainment. Tha usual Hallowe'en stunts were all successfully done. A number of Hallowe'en prank's wore committed In various parts ot town last night, but none, happily, of a very serious nature. Mr. Mllo Hendricks of T'ocr.lello spent Sunday here with his brother, L. A. Hendricks. Mrs. Hawkswood, nn aged widow ot this town is very seriously ill. Her sickness Is general debility Incident to old ago. Miss Mildred Pond, ono of Urlg-ham Urlg-ham Pond's younger daughters, Is seriously ser-iously 111 with appendicitis. The ense is a very critical one, hut the latest report gives hope of her recovery. |
