Show B. Y. G Notes. Tlie Faculty reception to the students stud-ents on Monday night was a grand success from beginning to end. The progiam In the assembly room was spicy and among other Interesting numbers Pies. Joseph F. Smith, Pics. Lund and trustees Jos. Howell and President Lewis spoke to the students and 'complimented them upon the vork they were doing. After the exercises exer-cises the students and guests went to the gymnasium and enjoyed themselves them-selves In dancing until a late hour. During tlie evening candy, nuts and lemonade were served. Bverybody present spoke loud in praise for the delightful way In which the whole affair was carried out. The Coddaid recital Saturday night was very well patronized by the students stud-ents and music loving people. Too much can not be said in miase of tlie wonderful won-derful voice of Mr. tloddard. Mr. Cannon Can-non showed himself to bo thoroughly familiar with the piano: while Mr. Weiglie held his audience spell-bound. All three were frequently encored. At tlie election In tlie Webster Literary Liter-ary Society on Friday last. The Aitl-Capites Aitl-Capites party won out by a majority of three votes and elected tlielr party candidates. The Capites were defeated defeat-ed fairly in tlie election and have joined hands with the Antl-Capltes to boom Webster higher and harder than over before. At tho next meeting ofj the society a trial will be held. One of tlie old officers is charged with l blasphemy and will be tried before a judge and jury from tlie society. After the program tlie seventh and eighth grades met and surprised Mr. Jensen, the Principal, ju honor of his birthday. Delicious refreshments were served and games and dancing were Indulged in during the afternoon. A large consignment of chemicals for the chemical laboratory was ie-cieved ie-cieved last week and new desks are belnu placed in for the students so that more rapid progress will be made. New forges will have to be placed In the Forge room on account of the large number of students taking that woi k.
