I Richmond, Oct. 2.- The Republicans Republi-cans met in the city hall last night and prepared the following winning ticket for the city election Nov. ": Mayor. Otto J. Monson was named by acclamation, ac-clamation, but after the convention was ended concluded that It elected to the mavorallty at his ape he would be tho "laughing stock" of the people and then at the last minute accepted the democratic nomination for councilman. coun-cilman. Marshal Peter Johnson. Justice of Pcace-F. II. Whittle. The convention worked smoothly. In the choice for marshal tlve ballots was necessary before a choice was reached. The democrats met last night also and selected the following ticket for the next election: Mayor J. W. Funk. Councilman, long term P. N. Nel- H Short terms S. R. Telford, A. H Adamson. M Recorder-G. O. Webb. H Tr usurer W. K. Burnham. H Marshal Frank Thompson. H Justice of Peace W. L. Skidmore. H Mrs. Erickson Dead. M Agnes Smith Erickson, wife of Bert M Erickson, and daughter of Mr. and M Mrs. Fred Smith ot this place, died H Sunday morning after about a three iH week's siege of childbed fovcr. Mrs. H F.rickson was truly an estimable wo- man, and beloved by all who knew M her. She was only 'Jt years and six H months old, and the future appeared bright for her and her husband.
