Mr Men ill Is a competent educator and at the head of the Oak- ley schools w III give the people of that town a service that they have not had before. Ilo Is aggressively progres-hive, progres-hive, broad minded, liberal, with high Ideals and a conception of the- eternal lltncss of things gencially that will enable him to do a great good. 'I he newspaper business Is a new one with him, but we predict a glorious success for him, at least so far as the making of an interesting and valuable paper Is concerned. The people of Oakley and v.elnlty will have to appreciate his efforts before ho can make the Eagle a success otherwise, and If they fniitniin this Uipv will make a sad tall to no tins iney win iuukc wu mistake. A wide awake, aggressive newspaper Is a more valuable asset to any town than a bank, postoillcc, commercial club, business house or any other material tiling.
