He also called attention at-tention to the alleged fact that In some localities many bees had been killed the last two years by the use of a poisonous spray In spraying trees. Will Invoke the Law. "Willie this woikls injurious alike to tho fruit grower and tho beekeeper," beekeep-er," said Mr. Lovcsy, "we have found it impossible to stop It without the aid of tho law, so wo have Hnally succeeded suc-ceeded In getting protection for the bees through the hoitlcultural law, and It should bo understood that wc oxpect tills protection in the future." Prof. E. I). Hall of tho Agricultural college gavo an Interesting talk on the effect of spraying upon tho bee in-dustry.ln in-dustry.ln which ho questioned whether wheth-er spraying had as much to do with the loss of bees as President Lovesy had Intimated. He said ho thought that losses due to cold spring weather had been erroneously attributed to spraying. The college experiment station is about to Investigate this subject and rcpoit results.
