Lawyers and attorneys of the city state that ceitaln fees that should have been paid for filing of veidlcts and other similar legal mattois, have not been collected because It has not been the custom to do so, though the law states such should be done. It Is merely a case of customary laxity on the part of the otllcials, and no doubt many other items of the rcpoits can be so shown up. Kids for adveitlslng and printing were accepted from Moore & Turner; for election supplies and Index books, to J. P. Smith. A petition from Mr. and Mis. Geo.
