In accoidance with Instructions ic-clcved ic-clcved from Mrs, May Wright Sewall, Chairman of the International Peace & Arbitration Committee, sincerely lcqucst that jour two organizations unite and Invito all citizens of your locality to take pait with you in holding hold-ing Peace Demonstrations, either in a ward or Stake capacity, at the most convenient time between Oct. 2nd and 8th. The Thirteenth International Con-gress Con-gress of peace in Boston will open on Monday, Oct. 3rd, but will be preceded preced-ed by a great demonstration on Sunday, Sun-day, Oct. 2nd. The pastors of the leading Boston churches of all denominations denom-inations have agreed to devote the morning service of that day to the peace causo, therefore, we, tho General Gener-al Committee, desire that you extend an Invitation to the clergy of your vicinity to do likewise. The following have been suggested as suitable topics foi jour demonstration: demonstra-tion: 1. The pecui.laiy cost of war. 2. The moral results of war. 3. The effect of war upon the na tional ideal of American citizenship. 4. The story of the organization of the court of arbitration. 5. A statement of cases that have all leady been piesentcd before It. ti. That American wo-men wo-men assembled on May 15, 1002, for the purpose of considering the fruits of war and the fruits of peace, do solemnly pledge themselves to meet annually to hold a demonstration In behalf of peace and arbitration.
