Show Wedding And Death. Providence Celebrates one, and Mourns a Sudden Departure. PnoviDKNCK, July r, The third golden wedding over reached In Providence was celebrated by Mr. and Mrs. Mads Hansen on Friday, 23rd of June. Their homo was tastefully taste-fully decorated In gold colored tlssuo paper and the rooms were filled to a cpush, with every one feeling the jolllest. The presents wcro many and beautiful. A delicious supper was served at-u o'clock and after games, speeches and songs the crowd had ice cream at 3 o'clock, expressed a very line time and went home for forty winks. Our town Is plunged In sorrow over tho sudden death of one of tho old residents, re-sidents, Mrs. John Theurer. Sister Theurer was well and strong Friday night at eight o'clock and at eleven they found her out In the garden un-conclous. un-conclous. Loving hands took her In and she died shortly without regaining consciousness. Sister Theurer has raised a large family of girls. She had no sons and all the girls arc married but two. This death is a terrible blow to the family for Sister Theurer was never sick and it was all so very sudden. Miss Gurtrudc Marlcr and Clias. Ault were married Wednesday of last week. Mr. Ault is from Garland and they leave Monday to make that their future home. A large reception was held at Marler's where relatives and friends wished the happy pair a long, happy and prosperous life. A variety shower was held at Hammond's Ham-mond's for Gertrude Marlcr and all tho girls old and young, large and small were there In force. All expressed ex-pressed an excellent time. Mr. and Mrs. Knudson and daughter Luenna, of Ilrlgham city, came over for the golden wedding. While here thev were the guests of Mr. and Mrs. E. P. Hansen. Mr. and Mrs. Rossltcr, of Salt Lake, arc visiting their daughter and son, Mrs. D. M. Campbell and Mr. Fred Rossltcr for a few weeks. |
