They hnmedlatly proceeded to dust the cobwebs and accumulated dust of many years from their discarded dis-carded sleighs. About eleven o'clock-It o'clock-It started to vain and It was an amusing amus-ing sight to see tho woe begone expression ex-pression on their faces as they again stowed away their sleighs now kept as relics of days gone by. Any person wishing to Invest In sleighs or cutters can get them In our locality at their own price. Many sheep and cattle arc being fed In our district this winter. win-ter. Mr. ITcnry Dopp Is slowly recovering recover-ing from an attack of the quinsy. We understand Mr. Squires of Logan is contemplating erecting a barber shop In our neighborhood. Wc all hope this rumor may prove true and that Mr. Squires may make up his mind to locate here. Both of our stores are busily engaged In putting up a supply of Ice for next year. We have a farmers union meeting here next Tuesday evening January 27th for the purpose of electing officers and transacting any business .that may come before the association. It is a movement which cannot be too highly commended. You may tako any form of workmen or tradesmen accepting the fanner and they are mostly all protected pro-tected by a union of some description. It seems as though tho farmer Is the only person who heeds not the old addage. In union there Is strength. The result of the senatorial contest Is being watched here with much Interest. Agnes. |
