Show FUNERAL OF MRS. BAKE At Hyde Park & The Band Concert, And Other Items of Interest to H. P. The fnueial services of Mrs .John li.ikc on tlic 'Jit tli, ext. was one of the saddest occasions in Jl)de Park for sometime. Many friends and neighbors I were present and relatives fiom Canada. Can-ada. Idaho, who met at the residence. forming a Ion); line of ehlcles to the meeting liousc, arriving there at 1 o'clock. A most touching prajer was olfeied by Elder Thomas Dnce, of Canada, which seemed to bring with it the spirit of comfort and peace, which piealled through the whole meeting. The speakers were as follows: Patriarch Lorenzo Hatch, Elder Oeo. Barber, Elder Benlltnan Hi mas, l'res. Joseph Worrell and Bishop C.G. Hvde. The hymns sun by the choir were "Desire", "De-sire", "O My Father", "Sweet Rest": "I Need Thee Every Hour" was sung by Mrs. E. S. McQuarrie, Mary J. Seamons, F. T. Jiallam and A. Peterson. Peter-son. Benediction was pionounced by Bishop Win. Hjdo of Logan. The lemalns were taken to thoeemotry, wlieie the giavc was dedicated and I our beloved sister left to rest. The house was packed, despite the mud. With Principal Geo. S. I'' r1 Daincs, Mrs. M. A. Grant, and Mis. B Woods at the head a good enteitain- ment is always assured, and while their eifoits aie highly appreciated, we do not foiget Mr. E. B. Lundqulst in the musical part of the program, I which was a special feature of the evening. Tlie schools are making rapid advancement under the present tutors. I Tlic evening of All Fool's Day was I spent veiy delightfully in the band I conceit, wlilch was good. Tlic full I band renditions were excellent Un- del the dhectlon of M. B. Lundqulst, I musical dliector, the band gives good I satisfaction. The solo woik was I highly appieciatcd, as was manifest by the heaity applause. Thequartett singing by the Scnioi and Junior quartettes was excellent. We aic I proud of our band. In it are some I veiy good vocalists and Instrumental-I Instrumental-I lsts. Organizations of this character I should be encouraged. They are the I life of small tow ns.
