Show Neptun Measured Again. A German astronomer, Herr Wlrtz of Strasburg, has made between Do-' cember, 1902, and March, 1903, fresh measurements of Neptune, the most remoto member of the solar system. Ho computes that tho diameter of the planet is about 31,400 miles, about four times that of tho earth, but that Its density is to that of our globe as 1.54 to 0.53, In other words, whllo the earth is 11 ve and a half times as heavy ns a sphero of water of tho same dlmensln'is, Neptune Is only ono and a half tlms the density of water, Tho lightest t tho planets Is Saturn, which would '"oat like a ball of cork In nn ocean big enough to hold It.
