Show Richmond. Mrs. Henry Stoddard has quite a severe se-vere attack of t)phold fever. The doctor thinks the worst Is past, however. how-ever. Mis. John Ilalgicn has been dangerously dan-gerously 111 ever since Christmas. Dr. Budge was up and had a consultation with Dr. Adamson. They decided that an operation was necessary, but on account of the delicate condition of the patient it was thought best to wait and sec if she would not gain more strength. There is some doubt as to her recovery, but all hope for the best. Elder George returned last Saturday fiom a mission to Colorado. He has been away nearly 28 months, during which time he has labored in the states of Colorado and Kansas. George is looking well and says he has en-j0)ed en-j0)ed his labors very much. There are several cases of scarletlna In Richmond. Ell Webb and Wm, Smith both have Hags at their houses. Tho disease is in a very mild form, but every case Is quaiantincd and every precaution taken to prevent the further fur-ther spread of the disease. Apostle Merrill has not enjoyed very good health for some time and dining the past week has been con-lined con-lined to his bed several da)s. The people of Richmond hope he may soon bo well again. The school enteitalnment was a financial success, enough money being icallcd to pay two Instalments on the new piano recently puichased by the schools. Misses Lucy Fink and Lama Mcirlll entertained a number or their rriends Friday evening. The evening was spent In playing games. One er) unique rcatuie was a contest guessing game. The heads or pictures or well known Individuals wcro mounted on the pictures of the bodies of another person. There was a gieat deal of enthusiasm en-thusiasm manifested during this contest. con-test. A lino lunch was served and a good time enjoyed by all present. The little daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. B. Hunt has quite a sovere attack or diphtheria. The family Is under strict quarantine and it Is hoped that this dread disease will bo contlned to this one case. |
