Show 250 Lives Lost The latest dispatches from North Topeka, Kansas, say the flood and fire which has overtaken that city has destroyed not less than $4,000,000 worth of property and estimate the loss of life from 175 to 250. 10,000 people are homeless and relief must come quickly. Traffic on railroads near that point has been suspended. sus-pended. Agent Woodside, of this city, has received instructions to not sell tickets to points in that vicinity. The fires are now all out and the river is stationary. It is hoped that that there will be no further damage. |
