A Great .Crowd Wilt1" Take Advantage Of the Rates Sky Members , Of The Oo'fnmittcc. t JL The old folkg of Hyrum stake are promised the time of their lives on July 16, for that Is tha date on which a excursion will be conducted to; Wandamere for the purpose of giving giv-ing the old people their usual annual outing. The committee In charge Is asking the old folks of the stake to shake off the: cares of life on the morn' Ing of that day and have one good time at this famous pleasure- resort. A very good rate has been secured, all over 70 riding free, and tor others a rate of $2.60 for return trip wl.l be charged from Mlllvllle, Hyrum and Wellsvllle and $2.35 from Mendon. The presidency of the stake are helping help-ing the committees In creating en-tbusasm en-tbusasm and the talk is gc'neral to the effect that a great crowd will take advantage of tho coming event. William Murray, ono of tho live members mem-bers of the committee says thero will be a big effort made to make the old folks feel young again and with tho assistance of tho various ward committees, com-mittees, ho thinks this can be accom- pllsbed. Tho commltteo Is composed of A. II. Wilson, chairman; William Murray, Ernest Peterson, Joseph B. Woodward and Albert Savage. Messrs Murray, Woodward and Savage are the members of the comniftteo who Went to Salt Lake and made tho arrangements ar-rangements for the resort and tor tho railroad accomodations. Those over &e ago of 70 will be tho honored guests of the excursion -and It Is hoped by the committee that each honored guest will be provided with an escort from each ward. Thero will be a general commltteo appointed to see that all guests aro given tho proper care and nttentJii and entertainment enter-tainment will bo provided to make the day ono big day of pleasure. Tho schedule- of train service will be"ns follows: Train leaves Mlllvllle at 7 a. m.; Hyrum 7:30 a. m.; Wells vllle 8 a. m.; and Mendon at 8:20. Tho return train leaves Salt Lako at 7:30 p. m. but tickets nro good for two .days. |
