Topping was, sleeping peacefully In tho headquarters of his company laBt night when be dreamed that an alarm had been sounded. He sprang from his bed, and, a moment later, dashed for tho brass polo used by tho men to ollde down to the main floor fiom tho bunk room. For tho first time he irlssed it and dropped through the hole to tho lower floor. Ho broko n rib, and was unconscious for several minutes. |
