Show PIONEER GOES TO HEHEWARD Mrs Mary Ann Mitton, a Caclie Vnllo pioneer of 1859, and ono of the b:st known nnd most highly respected res-pected citizens of tho community, passed away nt the homo of her daughter, Mrs. Lorenzo Hansen, of this city. Sunday evening, May 12. 'Deceased wns born nt Staleybridgo, Lancashire, England, September 0, 1830 When twonty two years of r.'e sho Joined the church and In 1S3J 9 the sailed from Liverpool for America. She spent eight weeks on tho ocean. I.Ike her associates, Mrs. Mitton endured en-dured many hardships whlto crosslnc tho plains to Utah. On that Journey sho wns ruti ovor by a loaded wagon and her lower Jnw was broken. Hor company arrived in Salt Lnko City September 25, 1855. In tho fall of 1659 sho moved to Wollsvlllo, Cache County, whore sho lived continuously until J 902 when sho enmo to Logan to Ho with her children. Just flvo weeks ago Mrs. Joseph Hawkins, tho youngest daughter of Mrs. Mitton, died nnd tho Bhock was so great that, nt her advanced nge, it, was beyond her strength to enduie. Sho Is survived by two children, Mr. S. II. Mitton and Mrs. Lorenzo Hanson, Han-son, both of this city. Sho was ono of tho sweetest of women, wo-men, an oxcollont mother nnd n faith-fu. faith-fu.
