Show Attendance Large at B.Y. Many Plans for The Season The attendance at the college Is large, much larger than anv previous year this early in the season. There were 370 registrations at the end of last week and Monday morning from forty-five to fifty prospective students were in attendance. The Increased registration H found In the number of advance students attending. Notices have been sent to bishops and to the M, I associations In the various var-ious wards In the county that members mem-bers of the faculty are at liberty Sundays Sun-days as and can be procured speakers at the ward and mutual meetings when desired. Tho college has had a number of applications ap-plications for a general housekeeping course to be given in the evening In order that women of Logan and nearby towns could take advantage or it. Plans are now under way for such a course. Arrangements will be made in the near future for a locture course by college col-lege professors and local speakers to be held in the evenings for the general public. Advance classes have been organized In civil engineering, mathematics, chemistry, English, geology, zoology, botany, history, economics and domestic domes-tic science. All these classes are larger larg-er than similar classes of last season. Owing to the nearness of the school opening to conference no vacation will be given the students this year. A spacious room has been set apart In the cast building for tho debating society deliberations. Provided the good weather lasts there will be an Inter-class athletic meet this fall. A new departure in athletics. Prospects are bright for a winning basketball team again this year. Besides Be-sides a number of promising basket throwers, of tho old timers who need no Introduction are Roskelly, Wangs gard and Allrrd, again on the gymnasium gymna-sium floor this season. Classes have been organized In physical phy-sical culture. All first year students are required to tako this work.
