Show Association Conference Heavy Beet Crop Harvested HYDE PARK, November 15 The Primary association held Its conference confer-ence Sunday afternoon at 2 p. m. There was a large attendance, notwithstanding not-withstanding the fact that there was a Seventies conference ao Logan, and the Stake Sunday School Teachers meeting was also held at Logan. A nice program was arranged consisting of songs, class exercises, recitations, with speeches from Patriarch Christian Chris-tian J. Larson, Itlsliop Charles 0. Hyde, Councilor Lorenzo Petersen, an'd Mrs. Ballantlne and Mrs. Anderson Ander-son of the Stake board of Primary associations. It was a joy indeed to see how well the children are being trained, and to hear their beautiful singing. We feel that great credit is duo to our untiring sisters who are doing so much for the moral uplifting of our children. The beet digging will be over In about two weeks more. Notw lining lin-ing the fact that forty-seven cars have been shipped from our station, there Is a small mountain of beets at the spur containing over live thousand thous-and three hundred tons Quite a number, however, have come from SJmlihfield, Greenville and Benson wards The tonnage per aero will doubtless average fourteen tonsSome growers have raised about twenty-three twenty-three tons per acre. On the 12 inst. 100 loads were received at the nyde Park station. Hyde Park Is fairly well represented In the B. Y. C. at Logan this year, there being five young ladles and ten young men attending school there. From the present appearance of.the new residence of Professor George S. Dalnes, it Is going to be one of the finest in town. E. B Lundqulst and Co. are beautifying beauti-fying with the painters brush, the new residences of Charles R. Ashcraft and Mrs. Sophia Lee. A new tenor singer for a future Hyde Park choir, was left at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Petersen by the stork, last Friday morning. Mr. William Hill, has moved his family up to Covevllle so as to be nearer the sugar factory, where he is employed. Our nimrod Riley Harris and his hounds, captured two coyotes last Saturday. |
