Must Modify Roads. In view of the heavy automobile, traffic It Is said that somo radical change must ,be made- In tho present manner of roadbulldfng. This point Is mado in a report by a commission which has been wrestling with the subject in the state of Massachusetts. It has found that all the state roads are seriously affected by the passage of the stream ot 'automobiles which has the effect ot removing tho binder and even displaces some of the smaller small-er stones, which In many instances are carried to the side of tho road. Tho commission Is of the opinion that some form ot tar treatment will solve the problem.
