Show t- ' Edwards Funeral The funeral service over .the remains re-mains of Mrs. Margaret Edwards, held at the Third ward meeting house Thursday afternoon, " was attended by a large number of friends and relatives. All of her children, with the exception of, Hyrum Edwards, were present and most of tho grand and great grand children were there. Following excellent singing by the Third ward choir, Wm. Wat-terson Wat-terson offered prayer. Ex-Bishop Yeatcs was the first speaker and he told of her as he knew "Grandma" Edwards us .r member of tho ward. His words were full of kindness and deepest feeling as he spok'o of her checf-ful checf-ful disposition and many good qualities. Ho said she hud always been helpful 'to the Bishopric and iu various ways throughout the ward. He respected and appreciated appre-ciated her greatly. James Quayle, who had known the deceased as a neighbor for 45 years, could hardly find words to express his kindly feelings. She had been a splendid woman and ho regretted that th time had come for the parting. A beautiful duet was rendered by Alexander Lewis and Mrs. Jane Thatcher accompanied by Miss Susie Gates. Bishop Anderson, Pros. N. W. Kimball, Pros. Joseph E. Cardon and Bishop Wm. Evans followed in words of praise for this good woman. All gave warmest praise of her life. M. J. Ballard, accompanied by Samuel Mitton, sang a very beautiful solo. At the closo of tho servico, a lengthy cortege followed the remains re-mains to tho cemetery, whero tho grave was dedicated by Wm. M. Smith. Thus has gone to her great reward a woman whose life is worthy of emulation. |
