Tho necessity of drinking fountains having called tho attention or the city dads, thoy very promptly ordered threo at a cost of $1800 and by this time they aie placed ou Main street of the southorn mining town. The council also becamo convinced con-vinced that If Park CltV Is to have a decent street In the business portion of the city it would bo necessary to build themof steel or divert, heavy loads to streets not so pioniincnt. They decided to divert th- Iranle and oideicd.all heavy loads to betaken over some other, street than Main. The Park City council is to be commended com-mended In both instances, though it is probable that suitable fountains could have been secured for less money. Io-gan Io-gan Is going to get some fountain o. k , but the council has pot vet ordered heavy loads to keep off of Center street, the gateway of the city |
