Joseph Vanness died hero today after an asthmatic ailment of long standing. No one thought tho end was so near, and tho announcement of his death came as quite a surprlso Mr. Vanness was a very respected citizen, was 78 ycais of age, and camo hero from Oxford about ten j cais ago. A son survives him. Grand Opening. On Friday, March 1, E. It. Miles Jr. will give tho second "grand opening" of his great general merchandise establishment, estab-lishment, and invites tho entire public pub-lic to visit his store on that day.
