Show Mendon. MEN DON, Feb. 20, I007.-On Monday Mon-day evening a very pleasant social was given at the beautiful residence of Mr. and Mrs. William Massctt. Those who were present vvero: Mr. and Mrs. James Hancock, Mr. and Mrs. Amos Hardman. Mr. and Mrs. James Whit-ncy, Whit-ncy, Mrs. Maria Ulchards, Mrs Tillie Hassett, Ltc Stumpf, Floyd Hard-man, Hard-man, Minnie Gardner.lsabelle Stumpf, Winnie Hardman, and Hannah So r onsen. on-sen. The evening was spent In recitations, recita-tions, singing and dancing. A line supper was served. Mrs. Mamie Laughtncy, of Logan, and Cora Hardman were Mendon visitors vis-itors this neck. All of the collego students came home to spend the Oeorgo Washing-ton Washing-ton birthday anniversary. Elder Lcroy Maker, who has been on a two year's mission, is expected home this week. Miss Allen and Emma Hurston of Logan, spent Sunday with friends at Mendon. Gcorgo Spcncc, of Wellsvllle, was in town Saturday on business. A danco was given on Friday evening even-ing in the meeting houso for tho benefit bene-fit of the ward. The evening was very stormy but there was a good turnout of old and yonng. Mrs. Jane Mulr has gone to Teton, Idaho, on a visit. Jerry Maker is Improving UIs home with a new picket fence. Tho school has organled a basketball basket-ball team nnd will start playing this week. |
