M He said that he came to Ctah In M 1H47 and lemalued (luring the pioneer U times Twenty jears later he was M called to the Canadian country, and H there he was a pioneer. His life had M been one of hard work and many M privations, but the grace of (od had M enabled him to bear all and he felt M blest in great fullness. M President Isaac Smith recited the M history or tho Savior's coming and the H nal doubt after he had been born, H comparing tills with the coming or M the Prophet Joseph and tho refusal or M the world to accept him. Tho Savior H did not come as the Jews expected H him to come, and scouted the idea ot M a Prince of God coming to them H through a family of humble H station. After his crucillxlon thoy H came to the conclusion that they had H put to death a man of more than Or- t (Unary attainment and power, but t even then but few conceived that In M truth the Savior of the world had been H crucltted. So with tho Prophet Joseph H he came of humble parentage. He devoted his life to tho Latter-day H work- and that life was finally sacrl- H Heed, as was Christ's. President H Smith then continued In part. M "Althoughdcad, tho Prophet Joseph M still lives in the hearts of the people, H and many arc trying to live up to the M principles enunciated by Jilm. They M aro willing to accept tie gospel me-s- H sage as being true, and have estab- H lished the foundation of their spirit- H ual structure upon tho rock of re vela- H tlon. With all such, opposition will H have no effect." In conclusion he ex- H horted the people to live aright and H keep all their obligations, whether H temporal or spiritual.
