A man nd woman were being tried on a cha"?e of riotous conduct In Main strc t Glasgow. In the Indictment In-dictment they were described ns man and wife,- but from tho evldenco offered of-fered to the court It was moro than doubtful whether they were actually married. The presiding bailie, evidently evi-dently suspicious that thero ,wns no such relationship between tho pair, asked the woman, "Is this man (pointing (point-ing to Jho male prisoner) your husband?" hus-band?" "Yes," was the answer. "And," turning to the man, "Is this woman your wife?" "Yes."
