Show ELECT TWO SENATORS. Delaware Deadlock at Last Results In Partial Victory for Addicks. The Delaware legislature on Monday Mon-day afternoon ehedthe deadlock by electing State Senator J. Frank Allee, union Republican, to the long term senatorship, which expires in 1907, and Congressman Lewis Helser Ball, regular Republican, to the short term, 1 which ends in 1905. Allee was congratulated con-gratulated by his colleagues and by the assembly generally. Congressman Congress-man Ball is in Washington. The result is regarded as an Addicks victory. Pressure brought to bear upon the regular Republicans from Washington Wash-ington undoubtedly had much to do with preventing the acceptance of the Democratic offer to join with the regulars reg-ulars to elect one regular and leave a vacancy. |
