Show "Setting" Colors. All colors cannot be set by the same method. Salt, for Instance, Is extremely ex-tremely effective In setting blues, pinks and some reds. A large table-spoonful table-spoonful Is required to a gallon of lukewarm luke-warm water. Black cottons or black-and-white checks need stronger salt water to be 'effective, and sometimes a llttlo turpentine may be added to tho water. Book tho materials In luke-wurm luke-wurm water. Soak browns, deep yellows yel-lows nnd tans In a solution of one cupful cup-ful of vinegar to a gallon of lukewarm water to set tho color.
