Show CADETS FOR WEST POINT. A man teacher in ono of the New York public schools declares that in his opinion tho shortage of cadets at West Point, about which complaint is made, is due rather to conditions suTrounding tho entrance than to a dislike of the army by American boys. "I will guarantee," he ejd, "to furnish in one week enough young men to fill tho lacking quota; joung men, too, who can pass the needed examinations, and who would make model soldiers. Many of them would bo the sons of foreign parents, but that fact would not bo against their ability or their patriotism." |
