H Tho University of Cairo, El Az- har, as it is called, for centuries has . been one of the most famous in the (5 world, and wherever you go in Ma- hometnn countries you will hear it v spoken of as a great institution, ono U of the greatest, oldest and most in- , fluential in all the universe, with a K faculty of wise, learned and pro- gressivo men. ( It is perhaps tho oldest of all universities, being the outgrowth of I the Serapeum which was established , at Alexandria by Ptolemy Soter 300 B. C, in connection with tho great 1 library.
