Show M. W. INGALLS Was born at Sullivan, Maine. I lis father was a member of the firm. Ingalls & Shepard, the third largest ship builders in the United Un-ited States. They moved to Illinois Illi-nois in 1857, and to California in 18f)4. It was in 1869 that lie had his first introduction to the beet sugar industry, at Alvarado, California. Cal-ifornia. This factory was the first nnc in the United States for mak-ling mak-ling beet sugar. I lis father was I 'he c nilnictor for the building of i lu- phut. For one year lie was vend assistant and next year I 'engineer for the factory. Followed Follow-ed this business, with a short in-'tcrruptioii in-'tcrruptioii in Oregon in the lum-Ibcr lum-Ibcr and electric business, until he I came to I tab in 1890 for the K. H --M 9 & 5- vHMr1 II. Dyer Co. to help build the factory here He has been an employee of the I'tah Sugar Co. since its beginning, be-ginning, now being consulting cnginncer for all the factories of the Utah Sugar Co. in Utah and Idaho. He is also one of the Hoard of Governors and chairman of the house committee of the Lehi Commercial club. |
