Show l DEATH OF BISHOP SPALDING The University lost one of its staunchest friends when Bishop Franklin Spencer Spalding head of the Episcopal church in Utah was killed Friday night and the students of this institution again feel the pain wrought by Death Bishop Spalding was well known to us through his frequent addresses on Chapel day and through his interesting lectures in the Emery dormitory last spring Miss Adrienne King a freshman here and a graduate of Salt Lake High school was at the steering wheel of the automobile which struck Bishop Spalding When she saw him crossing the street it is said she turned aside to pass him when he too ran to the same side and the accident occurred The Chronicle extends heartfelt sympathy to Miss King who is dangerously dangerously dangerously danger danger- ill as a result of the accident and sincerely wishes for her speedy reI re re- I covery |
