Show Funeral Services For Clyde Sharp Well Attended Students Faculty and Friends Pay Last Tribute to Late Chronicle Editor The funeral services of Clyde Sharp were held last Friday at o'clock in the Twentieth ward meeting house Bishop Clarence presided The house was densely crowded there being being being be be- ing present representatives of the Latter-day Latter Saints University and the University of Utah both faculty and students besides numerous relatives and friends The music was furnished by Professor Professor Professor Pro Pro- fessor Joseph J J. Daynes organist am ama a quartette consisting of A. A E. E Braby Joseph Poll Mr Saunders and Mrs Kirkham the L. L D. D S. S University quartette consisting of Professor Bolton Bolton Bolton Bol Bol- ton John Kent C. C R. R Cummings and E. E H U. Maxwell and Elder George D D. R Wells was the first speaker He said he had known Clyde Sharp all his life and had learned learn learned learned ed to love and respect him The qualities qualities qualities which went to form his character charac charac- ter he said were the qualities which h God uses to make his noblemen upon the earth Nobody ever placed placeda a trust in Clyde Sharp that had it be be- Speaking for the bishopric of the ward he said they had ever found him willing and anxious to do whatever he was called upon to do Clyde he said always rose to the very top in the associations he found himself working He was destined to reach the top for his qualities were such that lifted him in that way He called attention to the large crowd present and said the splendid assembly here today speaks more eloquently than words can of the esteem esteem esteem es es- es- es teem in which our brother was held Bishop George Romney said I do donot donot donot not know of a single failing that this young man had though there are none of us perfect but he was the nearest so of any young man that I ever knew as far living as he ought to and being a strictly honest upright and moral person in his life I haven't adjectives enough in my vocabulary to speak of him as I would like to but I cant can't say more than this that he was an honest upright young man He was consistent in all his life Elder John M.
