Carbon, Parowan high bands to join in concert here On Wednesday, March 21, starting at 8 p. m., an eve-ing eve-ing of band music will be presented by the Carbon High School band, along with the Parowan High Band it is announced an-nounced by John Talcott, music mu-sic instructor at the Parowan High. The program will be in the High school auditorium, and there will be no admission admis-sion charge. Carbon High School, located in Price, Utah, has long been noted for its fine instrumental instrument-al music Tiro cram This 8ft. piece band, under the direction direc-tion of Michael Hoopes, will perform a variety of band literature, lit-erature, Including some popular pop-ular selections.. The Parowan High band under the direction of Mr. TaHcott, will include In its se-lections, se-lections, the numbers to be played at the Utah State University music festival on March 24. Band students from both schools will have an opportunity oppor-tunity to get acquainted at a buffet supper before the concert. con-cert. The Carbon High students stu-dents will stay in Parowan homes and return to Price on Thursday morning. This should prove to be one of the finest band cancerts ever presented in, Parowan, according to Mr. Talcott. Everyone who likes good music mu-sic should plan to attend. |
