Sisters and brothers included Mr. and Mrs. Walter Jensen, Challis, Idaho; Mrs. Alice Jorgensen, Ogden; Mr. and Mrs. Tom Howe, Sunnyvale, Calif.; Mr. and Mrs. Henry Neal and Josephone Job, 85 year old mother of the late Gordon Kir-tley, Kir-tley, of Salt Lake City. Mr. Aaron introduced his lovely wife, Ann. Gifts were presented to the worthy matron and worthy patron by their respective families and Chapter members. Past matron and past patron jewels were presented to . Winifred Thompson and Gustin Gooding by Leo Thompson and f Ted Aaron. The traditional ; Margret Rohn pin was presented to Mrs. Kirtley by the Junior past 5 matron. ;; The meeting closed with the singing of one verse of the i National Anthem, and reciting the Mizpah Benediction. Light refreshments were served following the meeting by Dorothy and Alex Mansour, and I' Doris and Bob Williams. Preceding the meeting, a catered dinner by the Food Services Dept. of SUSC was served to 80 guests. Table decorations followed the Bi- : Centennial theme. Individual favors were miniature ceramic V Liberty Bells, hand-crafted by A. C. Hatch of Pa rowan. By Leah Wilson Cedar Chapter No. 20, Order of the Eastern Star, met in special session Saturday evening, Nov. 15, at the Masonic Temple. The meeting was an open installaiton for elected and appointed officers of-ficers for the ensuing year. Winifred Thompson and Gustin 0. Gooding presided over the opening of the meeting. A warm welcome was extended to the assembled group by the retiring matron and patron. The Lords Prayer was recited in unison, followed by the Pledge of Allegiance, and the singing of one verse of "America the Beautiful." Recognition was extended to . Most Worshipful Master Patrick H. Fenton of the Grand Lodge F. & A.M. of Utah, and his wife, Gloria. Retiring speeches were given by the matron and patron and each expressed their thanks and ' appreciation to the officers and members for a most successful year. The outgoing officers retired to the melody of "Now Is The Hour". Past Matron Ruth Gardner assumed her station as installing matron. She was assisted by Arthur Thurston, installing patron; Velma Lundgren, installing in-stalling chaplain; Gaye Thurston, Thur-ston, installing marshall, and Lelah Wilson, installing organist. Mrs. Kirtley and Mr. Aaron welcomed members and guests and thanked their installing officers for work well done.
