Show Services held for Ralph Orion Mitchell Funeral services were held Saturday, Dec. 8th in Parowan for Ralph Orton Mitchell, 66, Born June 27, 1907 in Parowan to Walter C. and Mary Orton Mitchell. In Feb. 1930 he married mar-ried Lorna Benson. He died Dec. 6th in the Valley View Medical Center in Cedar City. Mr. Mitchell worked for many years in the lumber business, beginning at eleven years old when he helped his father to haul lumber. After his father's death, he became co-owner of the Mitchell Lumber Lum-ber Company, with his brother broth-er Elmer. They operated their saw mill in a number of areas in Cedar and Parowan mountains during the summer months, and then hauled the lumber to their yard In Parowan. They operated the mill and lumber yard for 20 years, and sold the business in 1969. Semi retired, Mr. Mitchell then worked for the county schools and was later employed by Iron County as custodian for the County Court House, He is survived by his widow and three sons, Collins, Cedar City; Larry, Parowan and Cornell, Cor-nell, Brigham City. Brothers and sisters: Scott, Elmer, Ray all Parowan. Sylvia Syl-via Jones Cedar Ciy; Mrs. Ed. (Eva) . Rawling, Calif.; Mrs. Ward (Itha) Mortensen, Parowan. Paro-wan. He Is also survived by 11 grandchildren. Family prayer was given by Gilbert Mitchell. Invocation Bishop Boyd Mitchell conducted conduct-ed the services. A ladies trio consisting of Janet Jones, Brenda Adams and Merna Mitchell sang "In The Garden Of Tomorrow." Speakers were Howard Joseph Jo-seph and Albert Mitchell. A vocal solo was sung by Laurel Matheson. The closing number num-ber was a double mixed quar-tete quar-tete singing "Lead Me Gently Home." Singers were Karl and Alice Mitchell, Frankie Lou Bentley, Verl Taylor, Watson Adams, Marietta Orton, Veda Adams and Claude Orton. The benediction was by Clair Hulet and the dedication of the grave by Sherwin Benson. Ben-son. Pallbearers were Elmer Mitchell, Jack Beaumont, Curtis Cur-tis Mitchell, Don Mitchell, Frank Benson, Del Ray Benson. Ben-son. Flowers were cared for by granddaughters.
