Show PARAGONAH NEWS NOTES following an injury. Her husband had fallen in the yard and she hurt her back attempting to help him. The extent of her injury has not yet been determined. Mrs. Iras Jones had an eventful few days the first of last week. Her son Dale and his wife and family of Sandy were here and took her to Cedar City where they visited overnight with the Warren Smith family. Tom Jones of Las Vegas met them there and was accompanied by his lady friend from Baker, Calif. After returning home Iras enjoyed a visit from her brother, Orin Bell, of Salt Lake City, his wile and members of their family including Mr. and Mrs. Tom Allen and little daughter of Salt Lake City and Mrs. Joan Park and three children of Park City. Mrs. Janet Carter and baby daughter of Minersville were Sun. visitors here with the Kay Lamoreaux family. Roy Talbot of Kaysville was here from Sat. to Tues. for a holiday visit with his father, Walter Talbot. Mr. and Mrs. Jess Lister and son Lyle were here from Las Vegas for the week end of Feb. 24th. Mrs. Melva Barton spent considerable time in Cedar City with her brother Penn who passed away during the week following surgery at the Valley View Medical Center. Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Ward enjoyed a week end trip to Salt Lake City with the EIRoy Masons of Cedar City. Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Topham Jr. and children of Salt Lake City arrived here on Thurs. to spend the week end with Kenneth's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth G. Topham. On Friday Kenneth, Bonnie and Pauline all went to St. George for the Temple wedding of Gordon Topham of Cedar City. On Friday evening Mr. George A. Topham traveled to Tropic to attend the wedding reception for newlyweds, Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Topham and on Sat. evening he was in Cedar City for the reception held there. Ken Pauline, Kenneth and Bonnie attended the reception also. Mrs. Gwen Jones sister, Mrs. Maxine Keiffer of Bountiful was here for a week end and the two went to Panguitch for the wrestling tournament. Mr. and Mrs. Kay Knglestead and Mrs. Clem Knglestead, all of Panguitch have visited here at the Jones home during the past week. home during the past week. Blake Bentley of Parowan visited here with his grandmother grand-mother while the remainder of the family went to Monticello for the wrestling meet. A Boyscout Banquet was held in the Ward Cultural Hall on Thurs. evening under the direction of Albin Judd of the Ward Bishopric. A fine meal was served by Primary and Cub Scout leaders. James Clark gave a talk and the boys gave a short program and demonstrated some of their skills. Mrs. I la Williamson came home from the Hospital on Tuesday follow ing her stay there for surgery and is doing well at present. Mr. and Mrs. Homer Lamoreaux of Provo were in tow n the week end of Feb. 17th to visit with Mr. and Mrs. Chester Robinson and Mr and Mrs Earl Thornton. They visited overnight Sunday at the Thornton home. Mr. Clinton Robinson and his two little boys were over from Richfield on Sun. to visit Mr. and Mrs. Errol Lamoreaux and to see Mrs. Sarah Robinson in the hospital. Mrs. Frank K. Williamson was admitted to the Valley View Medical Center on Thursday |
