Show Myrtle Janson succumbs; honored at rites Myrtle Decker Janson, 86, died at the Valley View Medical Center May 28 of natural causes. She was born May 29, 1887 at Parowan to George W. and Orpha Bayles Decker. . . She marripd Gilhert L .lansnn May 29, 1916 in Parowan. She is survived by her husband; three sons: Reuel, Missoula, Montana; Dorian, Denver, Colorado; Del Mar, Carmichael, Calif. One daughter, Mrs. Emmett (Leola) Devine of Fresno, Calif. Ten grandchildren and four great grandchildren. One brother, Ivan Decker of Las Vegas, Nevada and one sister Mrs. P.H. (Laurel) Tingen of Las Vegas. Funeral services honoring Mrs. Janson were held Friday, May 31 in the Cedar Sixth LDS Ward Chapel. The family prayer was offered by Keith Cripps at the Spilsbury and Graff Mortuary. Mor-tuary. Prelude, postlude music was played by Janine Jolley and Bishop Rett Shakespear conducted con-ducted the services. The invocation in-vocation was offered by Bruce Decker followed by a vocal solo "The Lord's Prayer" by Naida Gardner accompanied by June Larsen. The speakers were Adele Decker and Willard Hamilton with remarks by Bishop Rett Shakespear. There was a string ensemble by the June Larsen family and a vocal duet "Oh My Father" sung by Cynthia Dunaway and Christine Win-terrose, Win-terrose, accompanied by Bonnie Hobbs. The benediction was offered by Wesley P. Larsen and James C. Applegate dedicated the grave. Interment was in the Cedar City cemetery under the direction direc-tion of the Spilsbury and Graff Mortuary. |
