Norman Grimshaw of Enoch was the recipient of the coveted Silver Beaver Award at a recent Fellowship Meeting of the Utah National Parks Council held in Provo. The award is presented to outstanding men and women who have given exceptional service to Scouting with the Council. In the citation it was noted that "Scouting and adventure are synonymous with Norman Grimshaw." It further stated that "Norman has been connected with the Scouting program, helping young men appreciate nature and the outdoors. As a Scoutmaster, he took his troop camping cam-ping each year, always looking for a new adventure. Under his leadership, the troop made trips through Yellowstone, down the Colorado River on rafts, pack trips through Kolob and down the mountain to Brianhead. Because of Norman's efforts, many boys have grown through Scouting ideals to become well adjusted, successful suc-cessful men." |
