Show "West Side Story" excellent performance PAROWAN - "West Side Story" was presented last weekend at Parowan High School to large audiences and was enjoyed by all who attended. : Drama coach Reed Lynn Turner is a master of set design and had two revolving sets within the set. Also a specialist in lighting effects Turner was able to set the moods of the scenes with changes in lighting. The story of New York Street gangs that ended in tragedy was filled with suspense, excitement, and a tender love story, a love that could not be. Daryl Jones and Wendy Stubbs dayed Tony and Maria, the "young lovers from different backgrounds, gang leaders were played by Chad Hulet (Riff) and Mike Evans (Bernardo) and the "Rumble" ended in death for both. Beverly Robinson played Maria's sister "Anita" and Blair Bentley, Dee L. Stapley, Larry Green, Trent Borden, I Sydnee Stevens, April Evans, Scott Adams, Holly Dalton, Scott Freeborn, Tom Haycock, Tony Moss, Stan Benson, Carolyn White, Anita Green, Lynette Gurr, Tracy Eldridge and Tammy Robinson were some of those playing supporting roles. |
