Show Deadline nearsforVV Health Care Bazaar t By Sue Bratton "From near and far we are getting help for the Bazaar," reports Susan Foster, Bazaar Chairman of the Committee of Valley View Health Care Foundation. Foun-dation. Last Friday the general work shop had visitors from the Escalante Valley Lioness Club. Lioness President, June Sewing, explained that they had read about the project to raise money to buy Infant Care Equipment for Valley View HosDital and wanted to many attractive hand made items for the General Merchandise Unit of the Bazaar. The Saturday workshop has been working mostly on items for Christmas. Becky Erickson work chairman reports that many Baker's Clay Ornaments have been completed and the group is presently, making Good Luck bird nests and birds for decorating Christmas trees. Mrs. Foster said that there is one quilt ready for quilting and is in hopes of getting volunteers, persons interested in-terested in quilting should call Rayzil Robinson 586-6765. 586-6765. Helpers are needed for all workshops in order to finish projects started, Craft and sewing items should be completed by November 3 in order to be properly displayed. Bakery items should be delivered by 6 o'clock the morning of the Bazaar, Nov. 5. "Remember only 16 more days until Christmas Shopping at the Bazaar," and Susan urges that as many as possible should get involved with completing their home projects and assist if possible at one of the work shops. General work shop 10-12 in the basement of the Chamber of Commerce building, Saturday work shop 9-12 in the Presbyterian Church basement, and in Parowan 10-12 in the Library Building on Fridays. June and Mildred Hale had driven in from Escalante, and Lioness member, Marty DuFour had come all the way from Pioche, Nevada. Then, Bill Eupanks from Oakland, California presented materials from I the BOERO manufacturing I company. Bill had learned I about the Bazaar througn relatives in Cedar City, and i had selected many bright patterns that he thought I would be useful in making items for the Bazaar. The Relief Society from Enterprise has donated four quilts. And the Cedar City BPW Club has sent in a generous cash donation plus |
