Show Workshop for Small Business In an effort to assist small and minority businesses in bidding on government contracts, a "Government t Procurement Workshop" will be conducted in Cedar City, November 7, 1979. The session will be a joint effort of the Small Business Ad-, ministration, Bureau of Land Management, Bureau of Reclamation, Forest Service, Federal Highway Administration, Utah Division of Industrial Development, and the Cedar City Chamber of Commerce. The workshop will be held at the Sugar Loaf Cafe in Cedar City with registration beginning at 8:30 a.m. Local Businessmen, Worth Grimshaw, Paul Whitman, and Ken Middleton are scheduled to conduct presentations. The workshop is intended to provide information to small businesses on how to obtain copies of government bids from individual agencies, how to accurately estimate bids, how to complete government bid forms, and information on financing bonding and insurance in-surance for small businesses. In addition, afternoon panel sessions will allow participants to address ad-dress specific questions to local representatives of government agencies. Additional information regarding the workshop can be obtained by contacting the local Chamber . of Commerce. Similar sessions are scheduled throughout the state during the next six ' months.' |
