Show Enoch and Midvalley News By Veda Matheson The two Enoch Wards met jointly on Saturday evening for a Roast Beef dinner at the new church. A delicious dinner was served and everyone had a very nice evening. On Friday evening a milestone was reached when the first baptism was performed in the -new church. Mrs. Robin Harper was baptized by her husband' Kyle. The Church isn't quite , completed, but will be in the very near future. Mr. and Mrs. LaMar Matheson, Boyd and Vicky, enjoyed a visit last week from Robert Cowan who lives in Wenachee, Wash. . ' Mrs. Viola Nielson of Murray, visited a few days last week with her son in law and daughter and their family, the Delton Campbells. Camp-bells. Mr. and Mrs. Dave Wankier spent part of the weekend in Delta with the Lee Wankier family. Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Wankier are here from Logan. They also visited in Delta and here with Bishop and Mrs. Ivan Matheson. Wayne Grimshaw and two boys were here for a visit with Mr. and Mrs. W. R. Grimshaw and Mr. and Mrs. Keith Grimshaw. Grim-shaw. Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Richardson were here from St. George to spend the weekend with Mr. v and Mrs. Elton Richardson. Mrs. Monna Lewis spent one day last week at Tropic working at the cemetery in preparation for Memorial Day. Mr. and Mrs. Henry Grimshaw received word last week of the birth of a baby girl to their daughter and son in law, Ann and Preston Hughes. The Hughes family is in Turkey. Dr, and Mrs. Richard Bagley and children spent the weekend in Richfield. . Mr. and Mrs. Robert Morgan and family were here from St. George to attend the two Ward party on Saturday night. Mr. and Mrs. Ron Farnsworth ' spent the weekend in Las Vegas, with relatives and friends. Mr. and Mrs. Gary Simkins and family were in Brigham City over the weekend. |
