Show T170 KILLED IN 10 COLLiSS- ijiiirj Orem Car Crashes into Ford Automobile Near Salem and Injuries Prove Fatal to two Young Men, Vyhile a Third is in a Critical Condition. One of the sad accidents of recent date happened Sunday afternoon about 3:35 when the Orem interurban train No. 12 crashed into a Ford driven by five boys near .Salem. The accident took the Uvea of two young men and seriously Injured a third. The boys had just takeu several girls home and were returning at a pretty fast speed and attempted to cross the track, and it is claimed they did not see the approaching train. The state road crosses the Orem interurban three times within a mile in this neighborhood, neighbor-hood, and it is claimed that there are so many obstructions that neither the motorman or the drivers on the public road can see far ahead. The Ford was thrown from the track and the occupants occu-pants thrown to the ground. . Four of the injured boys were placed on the Orem train and brought to the hospital hos-pital here. . They were accompanied by Edward Broadbent of Sigurd in Severe county. Lamar Snow died shortly after the train left the scene of the accident. He was 19 years of age and the son of "Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Snow of Sigurd. Gale Snow, son of Mr. and Mrs. Evan Snow, of Salem, died from a fractured skull a short time after he reached the hospital. The other boys at the hospital hos-pital are Anthony Peterson, 15; Paul Warren, of Salem, and Reuben Snow, a brother of Lamar. Of these the Peterson Pet-erson boy is the most seriously injured, in-jured, having sustained a fractured skull, a broken arm, and severe cuts on the head and other parts of the body, but is expected to recover: Paul and 'Reuben are not so seriously hurt. The body of Gale Snow was taken to Salem, and the body of Lamar Snow is at the morgue of O. H. Berg & Son; it will be taken to Sigurd for burial. The Snow family was holding a reunion re-union at Salem, and many of the family fam-ily from different parts of the state are attending, among them Mr. and Mrs, Herbert Snow of Sigurd and their j son.
