Show Easter Seal Drive Shaping up "The 1979 Easter Seal Campaign begins March 1st and continues through April 15th with a goal of $150,000," was announced by Terry Wood, president of the board of The Utah Easter Seal Society. During the campaign, an appeal is made for funds to support Easter Seal programs for handicapped children and adults in Utah. Campaign activities include the Easter Seal spring mail appeal and the annual Neighbor-to-Neighbor drive. The highlight of 'the campaign will be the 1979 Easter Seal Telethon March 24-25 on KSL television Channel 5 in Salt Lake City. As Mr. Wood states, "Ninety-six cents of every dollar stays in Utah to support direct service programs for handicapped people." Easter Seal Spring and Summer programs this year are learn to swim, wheelchair sports, adaptive track and field, horseback riding, stroke club, teen machine, information and refferal, advocacy, and summer camp sessions in Salt Lake, Provo, Ogden, and the Uinta Mountains. |
