Show Cowley 'Young Career Woman' By Candace L. Ewing Barbara Cowley, instructor in-structor in Business Education at SUSC in Cedar City, has been honored by the members of the Cedar City Business and Professional Women's Club by being named Young Career Woman of 1977-78. Barbara is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Cowley of Venice, Utah. She is a graduate of Richfield High School where she was Valedictorian of her class. She has a B.A. Degree in English from B.Y.U. at J BARBARA COWLEY Provo and a masters in Business Education from the same University. She was graduate teaching assistant at Brigham Young university while working on her masters degree. Barbara is an active church member, a member of SUSC College Faculty Organization , Secretary of the Faculty Senate 1976-77, advisor to girl's sorority, Tau Beta, at SUSC. She is also a member of Delta Pi Epsilon, Graduate Fraternity in Business Education, Corresponding Secretary, 1975-76 School Year Utah Business Education Association, Western Business Education Association, National Business Education Association, Utah Vocational Association, American Vocational Association, Phi Kappa Phi, Honorary Scholastic Society, Beta Gamma Sigma, Honorary Business Fraternity, Tuition Scholarship and Assistant-ship, Assistant-ship, BYU, 1974-76. To Qualify for the title of Young Career Woman, a candidate must be under twenty-eight years of age and to have worked at least one year at her chosen profession. |
