Show Funeral Services honor Davenport The benediction was by Alan Robinson and the dedicatory prayer was by Kim Robinson. Contributions to the Rock. Church in Parowan were accepted ac-cepted in lieu of flowers. Flowers were cared for by the grandchildren under the direction of Mrs. Kathy Skinner. All of Mr. Davenport's immediate im-mediate family and all but two of his grandchildren came for the funeral along with numerous great grandchildren. Other relatives came from near and far and a large crowd attended the service. PARAGONAH Unusually Interesting and inspirational funeral services were held for William T. Davenport on Mon, July 26, in the Paragonah Ward Chapel, under the direction of Bishop Kenneth G. Topham. After the viewing in the Relief Society room the family prayer was given by Kirk Smith. Mrs. Melva Barton played the prelude and postlude music. The opening and closing songs, "Beautiful Isle of Somewhere" and "The Lord is My Shepherd" were sung by a group of granddaughters grand-daughters accompanied by Mrs. Wilma Lamoreaux. Kent Montague offered the invocation. The life history was presented by Mrs. Vicki Lee Hill. Bishop Ronald Smith was the speaker and tributes were given by members of each of the other branches of the family. These were Mrs. Jerelyn Sorensen, Mrs. Connie Whicker, David Lamoreaux, Mrs. Sonya Lind, Mrs. Joy Hunt and Miss Wendy Robinson. Special musical numbers were a saxophone solo "Lay My Head Beneath a Rose" by Mrs, Hazel Jean Robinson accompanied by Mrs. Wilma Lamoreaux and a vocal solo . "Good Night Here, and Good Night up There" by Leland Lamoreaux, accompanied by Mrs. Melva Barton and an organ medley by Mrs. Barton. |
