Show Arthur J. Bryant, livestockman-farmer dies at 81; funeral services held today '...-afaiSr-. A.hP"- ... 1 ' if.: ' 1 .v- ,''" ' 1 I fA j Funeral services will be held today, Thursday, Mar. 10, for Arthur James Bryant, 81, in the Cedar Sixth Ward Chapel at 1:30 p.m. Friends may call at the Southern Utah Mortuary in Cedar City one hour prior to services. Burial will be in the Cedar City Cemetery under the direction of the Southern Utah Mortuary. Mr. Bryant, a native of Enoch, and a life-long resident of Iron County, died at the Iron County Rest Home in Parowan Monday, Mar. 7 of causes incident to age. He spent his entire life as a livestockman and farmer. He was born Aug. 1, 1885 in Enoch a son of James Andrew eluded the raising of sheep, cattle, turkeys, operating a saw mill and a dairy farm. He also did "custom" work - thrashing and corn chopping. Mr. Bryant served as Watermaster for the Union Field Irrigation Co., and helped saw redwood lumber for the Rock Church in Cedar City. He was a member of the LDS Church. He is survived by four sons and a daughter: Ellis A. Bryant, Parowan: Dell V. Bryant, Forrest W. Bryant and Mrs. Arwin (Jenneil) Stratton, all of Cedar City and Clyde W. Bryant, Newtown, Conn. Also surviving are 19 grandchildren, grand-children, 26 great grandchildren and two great, great grandchildren; grand-children; one brother, Roston M. Bryant, Cedar City; and two sisters, Mrs. Irvin (Rhoda) Carter, Salt Lake City and Mrs. William (Romana) Forbes, St. George. ARTHUR JAMES BRYANT County) from Cedar Valley to Cedar City. His agricultural career in- and Jane K. Jones Bryant. He married Jennie Walker Dec. 31, 1906 in Parowan. The marriage was later solemnized in the St. C George LDS Temple. C Mrs. Bryant succumbed Feb. 27, 1970, but the couple had celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary prior to her passing.
