Show Handicraft exhibit display at SUSC Hobby enthusiasts have an opportunity for the next two weeks to view outstanding examples ex-amples of avocational activities activi-ties at Southern Utah State College. Currently on display in the SUSC Library are exhibits ex-hibits provided by individuals from the college and community. com-munity. Featured in the library lobby lob-by are woodworking and rug making projects completed by Mrs. Naomi Lunt, Cedar City writer and civic worker. Mrs. Lunt's full scale grandfather clock and oversize decorative table are ornately finished with hand carved designs. The table is complete with a 120 pound glass top, which reveals the carved floral flor-al patterns. . . Mrs. Lunt has also created a hand hooked 69 by 42 inch rug, using old sweaters as the bulk of the material. Also on display is her book on dental den-tal hygiene, "A Dentist of My Own," which she wrote and illustrated as a fund raising project for the Utah Dental Society. Mrs. Lunt's husband is Dr. Paul Lunt, Cedar City dentist Steve Adams, vocational ed-cation ed-cation teacher at SUSC, has assisted Mrs. Lunt with her projects. Others students in the program who have contributed contri-buted to the display are Lan-ny Lan-ny Herron, Magna, parson's table and miniature carved hippopotamus; Boyd Donaldson, Donald-son, Caliente, Nev., carved swallow and puzzle; Robert Lamgford, Magna, wall plaque HANDICRAFT DISPLAYED. Steve Adams of SUSC helps arrange display of items made by Mrs. Naomi Lunt of Cedar City. The exhibit of Mrs. Lunt's work is currently being shown at the college. with fish motif, and Scott " Teaples, Delta, checkerboard design candy dish. , Five hand loomed wall hangings in the display are the work of Tom Leigh, Cedar Ce-dar City. Each is unique in color and design. . Adding variety to the exhibit exhib-it are the bird and animal mounts of Professors Steve Taylor and Richard Dotson, and student Bryan Muir, Mil-ford. Mil-ford. The lifelike pheasants, hawk, roadrunner, owl, and grouse are mounted in natural positions. A rare ring-tailed cat and massive bison head are ' also part of the taxidermy exhibit. Industrial plastics forms created by students of Prof. Lyman Munford complete the hobby exhibit. Displayed are molds, dishes, lids, thermoses .and other articles fashioned from plastic and stytofoam. " The public Is invited to see the display through June 3 during library hours.
