Show Chamber supports community cleanup The Cedar City Chamber of Commerce today urged community com-munity businesses to lend full assistance to the City's Beautification Committee, according ac-cording to Jack Carter, Cham -' ber Board advisor to the Chamber's Community Devel-; opment and Improvements j Committee. In making this appeal Cart, er stated that thoughtful attention at-tention to improving the appearance ap-pearance of rear entrances to business locations, by making them more attractive and appealing ap-pealing to patrons, as well as more easily accessible, would be a stimulous to business activity. Carter went on to point out that, the Chamber was not attempting at-tempting to set up specific guide lines for beautification, but that the Chamber was encouraging en-couraging all businesses to take whatever steps they deem appropriate from new paint to remodeling to make their places of business more appealing on the outside. The Chamber of Commerce is completely behind the idea of beautifying the business district as well as other areas of the City. As a committee we feel that individual businesses busi-nesses and the business community com-munity as a whole stands to benefit significantly from some form of concentrated at-tact at-tact on the problem. |
